I'd say give yourself a 30% penalty for using a web browser vs BOINC. I don't know how optimized the web code is, but I remember CoinHive only gave 70% of Monero hashing vs using xmrig/xmr-stak. Not saying 30% inefficiency is correct for DCP, but I'm going to take a leap of faith and say web browser crunching is less optimal than BOINC which is using native code for better task completion rates. Can't speak to your former payout rate vs now. I crunched a lot for WCG, but the payout with SPARC alpha was kind of hit and miss.

    Good comment!

That sounds right.  My only questions would be whether it currently makes a difference or not to:

    1) Select the VAULT page while crunching rather than the more dynamically updated MINER page, and/or

    2) Minimize the browser while crunching.

I also have lower DCC values - compared to the GRC site drop. BUT here you have to consider the GPU (eg collatz). Only that was really efficient .. I still pray the GPU support will be supported very soon here at DCL.

it's Beta guys, come on lol

There is going to be overhead costs from running a GUI and a browser no matter what OS you use so performance equal to BOINC is not likely going to happen. but then... we should see what DCL comes up with down the road.
